WELCOME TO ROOM KEA
Kia ora whanau,
Welcome to Room Kea.
Teacher: Miss Rose
This year I am very fortunate to be in an amazing team - Te Pihinga, led by Miss Turner.
We have 2 classes consisting of years 5/6. We also share a treasured teacher aide: Miss Francis Austin.
Our day starts in Hauora class at 9 am with the roll, then students move into their various learning classes till after lunch when they come back into Hauora class till 3 pm.
In Room Kea we will be working towards achieving goals and progressions through the New Zealand Curriculum. Our classroom environment will be an area where we are all comfortable to take risks and make mistakes. I envision mistakes as learning experiences. We will have a high focus on AROHA beliefs and values in class this year and students will be encouraged to strive to be successful by obtaining these values. Often our work will be seen on Seesaw. We will also be using the Writer’s Toolbox programme to assist our writing achievements.
If you have any questions or need a discussion with me, please feel free to make contact through the office or my email.
