Kia ora koutou

My name is Ange Peach and I am very excited to be the year 7 / 8 Hauora teacher for Ruru 2, one of four classes within Te Mahuri in 2022. . We share a collaborative space with Ruru 1 and the fantastic Miss Higgs.

While I enjoy teaching all curriculum areas, I have a passion for English / Literacy and the Social Sciences (History, Geography). I hope to foster an interest in the world among my students in which they look outwards and consider the why, what, where, when, and how of the world around them, locally, nationally and globally. In Te Mahuri we strive to develop student agency and ownership of learning for all of our students. Each student is unique, with their own learning style, needs, strengths, challenges, interests and goals. Our Te Mahuri programme is student centered, providing a great platform for all students to engage, achieve and succeed along their learning journeys.

It is a privilege to work alongside the students, staff and whanau of Turaki School, and I look forward to getting to know everyone throughout the year ahead! Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or queries. I look forward to working with you all!
