Kia ora.!

Our Hauora class, Kereru,  is made up of year 7 students.  In Kererū, learning is about taking the reins from the teacher and for students to be responsible for their learning outcomes and progress.  Student agency, partnerships and being the driver of their own learning are important themes in our class. Our learners work collaboratively with other Tuakana teachers and students to make their own learning real and relevant.

Everyone in Kererū is a leader.  Students are Whanau House Leaders, PB4L leaders, and help with school duties such as Breakfast in Schools, organising school events and Fruit Monitors.  Caring for our classroom, school environment and other members of our school is important to us as well. All students take the lead in their own learning.

We look forward to you being a part of our learning journey.
